What measurements can the solar cell I-V software perform?

The Solar Cell I-V software can perform 3 different types of measurements. Each measurement type can be selected using the tabs at the top of the window. The available measurements are: Characterisation (Section 9.1.1). Lifetime (Section 9.1.2). Stabilised Current (Section 9.1.3).

How many solar modules do I Need?

The number of modules will depend on the nominal size of your system and, collectively, they are known as the solar array. The solar array converts daylight into direct current (DC) electricity. The DC electricity is fed to the inverter which is normally in the utility or the loft of the building.

How do I install solar cell IV software?

Run the file ‘Ossila-Solar-Cell-IV-Installer-vX-X-X-X.exe’ on the USB memory stick provided. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software. Connect the 24 VDC power adaptor to the power socket on the rear of the unit. Connect the unit to your PC using the provided USB-B cable, or an Ethernet cable if preferred.

How do you ground a solar module?

Grounding between modules can be done using a 4 mm2 (12 AWG) solid bare copper that connects adjacent ground holes on the module frame (unused installation holes on the frame can also be used for grounding). Trina Solar recommends using the following two methods for grounding installation, as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3.

How often should a Trina Solar PV module be cleaned?

It is recommended to check the connectors, torque of bolts, and the general condition of wiring at least once a year. Also, check that mounting hardware is fastened in place. Loose connections will result in damage to the array. This manual covers the requirements for the cleaning procedures of Trina Solar PV modules.
