Influence of the Transparent Conductive Oxide Type on the Performance of Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells In inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs), indium tin oxide (ITO) is the most commonly used transparent conductive oxide (TCO) layer for coating glass substrates. However, the preference for the ITO has never been clearly stated.
Indium-based transparent conducting electrodes (TCEs) are a major limiting factor in perovskite/silicon tandem cell scalability, while also limiting maximum cell efficiencies. In this work, we propose a novel TCE based on electrostatically doped graphene monolayers to circumvent these challenges.
However, frangible indium tin oxide-based transparent conductive substrates severely limit the flexibility of solar cells. Herein, we develop a flexible transparent conductive substrate of silver nanowires semi-embedded in colorless polyimide (denoted as AgNWs/cPI) via a simple and effective substrate transfer method.
A team of Chinese scientists led by Prof Wei Huang from Institute of Advanced Materials, Nanjing Tech University fabricate flexible perovskite solar cells on transparent nanocellulose paper.
Most PSCs are built on transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) such as fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) or indium tin oxide (ITO), which are costly and rigid. Therefore, it is significant to explore alternative materials as the transparent electrode of PSCs.
