As an essential part in technologies for energy storage systems (ESSs) or renewable energy systems (RESs), grid-connected inverters need power passive filters to meet grid regulations. As typical passive filters, L filter and LCL filter are employed.
The characteristics of randomness and intermittency inherent in renewable energy, as well as the deviations in filter parameters of LCL inverters, pose higher demands on the design of inverter control parameters, requiring good robustness to adapt to changes in system operating conditions [17, 18].
Therefore, researching control parameter design methods for inverters holds significant theoretical and practical engineering value. Three-phase LCL-type inverter features advantages such as small volume, effective suppression of high-frequency harmonics, and high-power density. Currently, it is widely used in new energy systems [4, 5].
The LCL parameters are designed as an example for the requirements of the grid-connected inverter with LCL filter in the following table, and the system parameters are shown in the following table: Table 1. System parameters
Finally, the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed design method are validated through simulations and experiments, achieving precise parameter design for the controller of LCL grid-connected inverters even in the presence of deviations in filter parameters.
A typical circuit diagram of a three-phase grid-connected inverters with LCL filter is shown in Fig. 1. In the conditions that each phase voltage of the inverters and grids is symmetric and LCL filters are balanced, three-phase systems could be transformed equivalently into single-phase systems.
