On Oct 27, GAC backed NEV automaker Aion announced the establishment of Yinpai Battery Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Yinpai), a new-born subsidiary co-held by GAC Aion, GAC Motor, and GAC Business with a registered capital of over CNY 1 billion (USD 138.69 million).
With the completion of the Yinpai Intelligent Battery Eco-factory, GAC AION has officially gained the full-stack capability of in-house R&D and production.
Then, in 2017, GAC AION produced its first in-house developed BEV-dedicated battery pack, and initiated the independent R&D of power battery cells and construction of a battery cell testing line in the same year.
Thanks to the application of multi-step film formation and low-consumption lithium-anode technologies, it achieves over 4,000 cycles of fast-charging lifespan at room temperature and over 3,300 cycles at high temperatures. The theoretical total driving distance of the vehicle can exceed 1.5 million kilometers.
